Equipment Engineer – Machine Construction

About the role

As an Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for planning, setting up and continuously improving workstations, equipment and fixtures for new and existing production lines at Bosch's manufacturing plant in Bayan Lepas. You will work closely with value‑stream teams, maintenance and production to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan equipment, workstation and investment projects (MAE and EWAK), performing cost and feasibility analyses.
• Define SRS, purchase, set up, trial and buy‑off workstations and accessories for new products and automation projects.
• Set up machines and equipment with industrial engineering support, completing buy‑off before pilot runs and mass production.
• Drive continuous‑improvement activities to reduce setup time and increase stability.
• Execute improvement initiatives related to workstation design, ergonomics, VT and overall process performance.
• Define, purchase, set up, trial and buy‑off fixtures, tools and equipment; conduct MSA, machine capability studies and deploy SPC stations as required.
• Prepare comprehensive maintenance documentation, spare‑parts concepts and training for maintenance teams, ensuring full competence transfer before mass production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in equipment planning, workstation layout design and investment analysis.
• Ability to conduct measurement system analysis (MSA) and machine capability studies.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
