Enterprise Master Data Management Operations Specialist (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

Roche is hiring an Enterprise Master Data Management (EMDM) Operations Specialist in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, as part of its Master Data Management division. The role ensures that the technological architecture meets user requirements while keeping day-to-day operations aligned with service levels and standard operating procedures, and supports smooth data flow across global business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system analysis, issue resolution and inquiry handling, and handle incoming incidents and requests through the ticketing system within agreed SLA thresholds
• Act as first point of contact for business users on Supplier, Customer, Employee and Intercompany master data maintenance
• Maintain process documentation, training materials and a knowledge base, and keep them up to date
• Develop learning paths and training materials, coordinate with support teams on process and system changes, and offer cross-department training
• Handle projects from initiation to execution, assist with deployment support (data collection, training, testing), and engage in technology projects such as functional analysis and regression testing in tools like HP ALM
• Manage multiple cases and mini-projects, identify process improvements and implement plans
• Communicate regularly with Finance and Procurement, act as escalation point for IT issues, and build relationships with internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Science, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management
• Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese
• Strong customer focus, partner management and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team, with attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Master Data Management experience (0-1 years); previous project experience desirable
• Adherence to Roche's SHE guidelines and completion of mandatory training

Required skills

• SAP (FI, MM, CO, SD)
• Familiarity with SAP technical knowledge (MM, AA, SD modules) is a plus
• Basic MD knowledge is desirable
