Director, Consumer Marketing

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a senior marketing leader to shape the consumer marketing agenda in Malaysia, one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets. Reporting to the Southeast Asia West Marketing team, you will partner with country leadership to translate business priorities into impactful marketing programmes that drive brand preference and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Malaysia consumer marketing strategy, aligning priorities with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Collaborate with country leadership, account management and cross‑functional teams to identify growth opportunities and launch marketing initiatives.
• Lead integrated consumer, digital, partnership and sponsorship programmes that strengthen brand preference.
• Oversee agency partners for creative development, media planning, campaign execution and performance optimisation.
• Manage marketing budgets and investments to ensure effective resource allocation and measurable outcomes.
• Leverage Mastercard’s global and local sponsorship assets to create market‑relevant programmes.
• Support issuer and partner marketing through B2B2C campaigns and customer‑facing solutions.
• Represent marketing in customer discussions, strategic initiatives and cross‑functional projects.
• Evaluate campaign effectiveness and market insights to continuously improve performance.
• Contribute to broader Southeast Asia West marketing priorities and regional initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading country‑level, consumer or integrated marketing strategies within a large multinational organisation.
• Proven ability to translate business priorities into marketing strategies that drive growth.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder influence.
