Central Customer Service Coordinator – Marine Products

About the role

We are looking for a Central Customer Service Coordinator to join the Marine Products division of Wilhelmsen in Kuala Lumpur. The role supports the Global Customer Service (GCS) and Local Customer Service (LCS) teams by processing RFQs and purchase orders, ensuring timely service and compliance with SLA.

Key responsibilities

• Accept and process customer requests for quotations (RFQs) and purchase orders (POs) from the group mailbox.
• Determine transaction urgency based on ETA, port, and customer type; prioritize urgent cases.
• Communicate any irregularities or credit‑limit issues to LCS promptly.
• Keep LCS informed of order status and note any exceptions.
• Use internal systems to capture customer‑specific requirements and ensure they are addressed.
• Follow up with Supply Chain and LCS on outstanding tasks to guarantee completion.
• Provide administrative support to GCS and LCS as needed.
• Perform additional assignments from senior support personnel.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under defined SLA and meet tight deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Comfortable handling multiple requests simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of maritime supply chain processes is a plus.
