Buyer (Asset Specialist)

About the role

The Buyer (Asset Specialist) will manage purchase order entry, supplier backlog, and inventory levels while ensuring high quality and compliance with Arrow's vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Manage both EDI and manual purchase order entry and re‑plan supplier backlog according to agreements.
• Communicate with suppliers on order status, track urgent shipments, and resolve shipping discrepancies.
• Monitor supplier on‑time delivery, handle receipts, invoice discrepancies, and non‑conformities.
• Maintain VMI buffer levels, oversee manufactory inventory, and support new supplier implementation.

Required profile

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, in a global purchasing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and detail‑oriented mindset.
• High ownership, accountability, and ability to work in a multicultural, high‑pressure setting.
• Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory) and Mandarin (preferred).

Required skills

• ERP system usage (Oracle advantage).
• English proficiency (verbal and written).
• Mandarin speaking (preferred).
