Business Development & Sales Support Manager

About the role

The Business Development & Sales Support Manager will lead operational management of the sales strategy across all regions and segments, ensuring revenue growth, profit improvement and sales excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Sales function complies with internal and external governance and regulatory requirements, establishing a robust first line of defense.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, share insights and continuously improve business performance.
• Provide leadership for the Sales Operations team, collaborating with Heads of Sales, Sales Managers and the sales force across all segments.
• Execute the sales strategy in partnership with Sales Leaders to foster a high‑performance, engaged culture.
• Drive consistency across segments to achieve genuine sales excellence.
• Oversee regulatory, compliance and governance frameworks for General Insurance.
• Manage sales‑related work streams and projects, delivering key components and meeting commercial success criteria.
• Produce Sales Management Information to provide clear performance metrics aligned with objectives.
• Lead agency recruitment strategies, develop initiatives and incentive programmes to attract and retain high‑quality agents.
• Collaborate with Heads of Sales and Agency Leaders to identify recruitment opportunities, monitor licensing progression and improve activation rates.
• Establish strategic partnerships with universities, professional associations and referral networks to strengthen recruitment channels.
