About the role
The Trade Compliance Manager will oversee the company’s strategic trade compliance and export control governance. This role ensures adherence to Malaysia’s Strategic Trade Act 2010 and related regulations while implementing the Internal Compliance Program.
Key responsibilities
- Lead strategic trade compliance activities and export control governance.
- Implement and maintain the company’s Internal Compliance Program (ICP).
- Manage strategic trade filings using DagangNet (eSTA/ePermit) system.
- Monitor and interpret requirements of the Strategic Trade Act 2010 (STA) and MITI STS.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance matters.
Required profile
- Strong working knowledge of Malaysia’s Strategic Trade Act 2010 (STA) and MITI STS.
- Proven experience using DagangNet (eSTA/ePermit) for strategic trade filings.
- Ability to lead compliance initiatives and work cross‑functionally.
