Test Engineer (Semiconductor Test Site)

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor testing capabilities at the new PgP5 plant in Batu Kawan, Penang. As a Test Engineer you will ensure the reliable operation of testing equipment, support production, and contribute to continuous improvement of the final‑testing process for sensors and semiconductors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of test machines according to the maintenance plan.
• Analyse equipment downtime, diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults, and execute repairs.
• Locate failures on measurement boards and PCBs, repair or replace boards as needed.
• Prepare daily overviews of BIN topics and update circuit diagrams to match engineering specifications.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to develop measures that reduce failures, improve quality and output, and lower costs.
• Support production teams, provide operator training, and assist with FMEA and Control Plan activities.
• Ensure spare‑part availability and execute any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in engineering functions, preferably in a manufacturing or test environment.
• Experience with consumer‑electronics testing equipment, pressure sensors or inertial sensors is an advantage.
