Test Engineer – Functional Test Systems

About the role

Join Bosch Group as a Test Engineer in Bayan Lepas, where you will help set up and release functional test systems for new product lines. You will work closely with the PTE team and production line to ensure test equipment meets budget, schedule and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set up functional test systems based on PAV specifications, manage equipment, hardware interfaces and mechanical fixtures.
• Track project budget, ensure on‑time delivery, and release test systems following the Test System Release Procedure.
• Train maintenance teams, develop preventive‑maintenance plans and analysis tools to improve FPY, NTF and OEE.
• Implement full test procedures, ensure alignment and calibration (memory flashing, tuner calibration) meet defined coverage.
• Provide troubleshooting support on the production line and analyse MIS data to drive test‑time reduction and machine efficiency.
• Participate in early‑stage model concept discussions to guarantee smooth hand‑over to the set‑up team after SOP.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience (internship or industrial training acceptable).
• Basic knowledge of electronics testing, measurement techniques and test methodologies (RCCA).
• Good communication skills, proactive attitude and ability to work independently with guidance.

Required skills

• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, C, LabVIEW).
