Test Engineer – Functional Test Systems

About the role

As a Test Engineer at Bosch Group, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining functional test systems for our product lines. You will work closely with the PTE team to ensure test equipment is delivered on time, within budget, and meets performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Configure functional test systems based on specifications provided by the PTE team.
• Track project budgets, manage equipment purchases, and ensure on‑time delivery to the production line.
• Release test systems following the Test System Release Procedure and train the maintenance team on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Implement standardised, lean processes across projects and participate in plant requirement meetings.
• Execute full test implementations, ensuring test coverage, alignment, and calibration are in line with procedures.
• Support the production line with troubleshooting and analyse MIS data to drive improvements in FPY, TFOR, and OEE.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience (internship or industrial training acceptable).
• Basic knowledge of electronics testing, measurement techniques and test methodologies (RCCA).
• Proactive attitude, good communication skills and ability to work independently with guidance.

Required skills

• Use of lab equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter and power supply.
• Basic programming or scripting (Python, C, LabVIEW).
• Understanding of test system setup, preventive maintenance planning and calibration processes.
