Technician - Maintenance

About the role

Support the Supervisor/Engineer in daily maintenance operations for production equipment, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime. The role requires strong hands‑on capability in mechanical, electrical, PLC and automation troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, equipment and jigs/fixtures.
• Identify causes of equipment breakdowns and support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Work closely with Production teams to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Support maintenance improvement activities, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and equipment reliability projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic and automation‑related equipment issues, including PLC‑controlled machines, HMI, sensors, actuators, servo drives and inverters/VFDs.
• Read and interpret basic electrical drawings, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams and machine manuals.
• Maintain appropriate records of maintenance activities, troubleshooting findings and corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians where required.
• Follow established safety procedures such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and ensure 5S and safety rules are applied.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on capability in mechanical, electrical, PLC and automation troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams and machine manuals.
• Knowledge of safety procedures such as LOTO and 5S.
