Technician III, Molding & Tooling Production Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician III to support molding and tooling production operations in Malaysia. The role focuses on operating complex molding equipment, performing rigorous quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate molding tools, manufacturing machine tools, and fixtures with minimal supervision.
• Conduct detailed quality inspections using gauges and fixtures and monitor statistical quality data.
• Follow GMP/GDP work instructions, handle materials, and run automated equipment.
• Lead mold changes, collaborate across departments, and troubleshoot medical device molds.
• Perform optical tool inspection, assembly, set‑up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeovers.
• Operate solvent supply and disposal systems for production and research.
• Maintain strict GxP compliance by following SOPs, documenting activities, and completing required training.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of production experience.
• Experience with molding or supervisory roles is a plus.
• Diploma in Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotational shifts.
