Technician II – Molding & Tooling Production Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician II to support its Molding & Tooling Production Operations. The role focuses on operating molding tools, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards in a fast‑paced eye‑care manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate complex molding tools and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform detailed quality inspections using gauges and fixtures, and monitor statistical quality data.
• Follow work instructions, GMP/GDP requirements, and handle materials and automated equipment.
• Lead mold changes, collaborate across departments, and troubleshoot medical‑device molds.
• Conduct optical tool inspection, assembly, set‑up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeovers.
• Operate the solvent supply and disposal system for production and research.
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to SOPs, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Certification in a technician field.
• Experience in molding technology preferred.
• Ability to work independently while following strict regulatory guidelines.
