Technical Service Manager - Industrial Measurement Equipment

About the role

A client based in Selangor, Malaysia is looking for a Technical Service Manager to oversee technical support and after-sales activities for industrial measurement equipment. The role leads the service team, improves service delivery, develops after-market business opportunities and maintains strong customer relationships. The position is full time, permanent and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily service operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Plan team schedules and resources so customer requests are handled promptly and effectively.
• Give technical guidance to the team and resolve escalated equipment or software issues.
• Oversee calibration and readiness of service tools and keep service documentation accurate.
• Coordinate customer training, software support, product demonstrations and measurement evaluations.
• Drive after-sales business through service contracts, equipment upgrades, spare parts, training and related technical services.
• Work with distributors and internal teams to identify customer needs and support after-market sales.
• Manage warranty matters, customer complaints and spare parts availability.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams on parts procurement and technical support.
• Monitor service performance and improve turnaround time, customer satisfaction and retention.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in technical service and after-sales operations within industrial measurement or instrumentation.
• Sound knowledge of equipment calibration, measurement technologies and applicable quality standards.
• Strong team leadership, customer communication and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple operational demands.
