Tax Intern

About the role

Move Travel Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a tax intern in Kuala Lumpur to support its group companies with tax matters. The role covers tax computation support, data organisation, compliance research and e-invoicing assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and collating supporting documents for tax computations, including Corporate Tax, Sales & Service Tax Return (SST), Value Added Tax Return (VAT), withholding tax return and tourism tax return for entities within the Move Group of Companies.
• Assemble and manage tax workpapers, financial statements and electronic filing records.
• Assist in researching regulatory updates, withholding and indirect tax items, or transfer pricing documentation.
• Assist in updating master data and submitting e-invoices to the regulatory body.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a professional programme such as ACCA, ICAEW or CPA.
• Good written and verbal command of English; other languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail and solid analytical skills.
