Staff Engineer – Quality

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Staff Engineer – Quality to lead its product quality team at the Bayan Lepas manufacturing site. The role focuses on ensuring product and process quality across the manufacturing value stream, driving continuous improvement, and acting as the primary quality interface for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product quality team to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
• Oversee in‑process and final product inspections and provide quality consultation across the value stream.
• Allocate resources to support production lines and quality initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and product/process requirements.
• Manage internal and external audit findings, including product safety audits.
• Conduct non‑conformance investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Resolve customer complaints using structured problem‑solving methods (8D, PSS).
• Identify and lead quality improvement projects using tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, Capability Studies, and CP.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet KPIs and implement preventive measures.
• Track, report and act on key quality KPIs, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality, new product development, engineering or process roles.
• Professional qualifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Manager for Quality Organizational Excellence, or Charter Quality Professional are preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (TS16949) and product safety standards (IEC, EN, UL).
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
