Shopper Market Leader – Malaysia

About the role

The Shopper Market Leader for Malaysia will shape and execute shopper marketing strategy across all channels, turning market insights into activation plans that drive traffic, conversion and brand growth. Reporting to the Country Sales Leader, the role works closely with sales, marketing, supply chain and external partners to deliver high‑impact shopper programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement shopper marketing strategies and activation plans aligned with sales priorities and brand objectives.
• Translate shopper, customer, category and market insights into programs that increase traffic, basket size and brand preference.
• Lead activation planning for modern trade, general trade, e‑commerce and specialty channels.
• Manage end‑to‑end execution of campaigns, including POSM development, launch readiness and in‑market delivery.
• Track and analyse sell‑out performance, promotion ROI and execution quality, producing dashboards and post‑campaign reviews.
• Establish standardized templates, SOPs and operating‑excellence processes for planning, execution and evaluation.
• Coach and develop the Senior Shopper Marketer and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in shopper or trade marketing, preferably within consumer goods.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with sales, marketing, supply chain and external agencies.
• Leadership capability to coach team members and drive cross‑functional initiatives.
