Senior/Staff Process Engineer – AOI/SPI/AXI

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Senior/Staff Process Engineer to lead AOI, SPI and AXI detection engineering for new product introductions and ongoing product support. You will be the technical owner of SMT inspection processes, ensuring high quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain SPI/AOI/AXI programs and related documentation for production.
• Troubleshoot SMT issues, root‑cause detection failures and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor and adjust inspection windows to enhance machine capability and product quality.
• Maintain workstation, computer and network systems; ensure regular machine calibration and backups.
• Participate in new product development, providing expertise on PCB assembly automation.
• Own process data, set up data‑visualisation and analytics for continuous improvement.
• Lead traceability setup, machine capability upgrades and major breakdown troubleshooting.
• Provide training on maintenance, operation and detection processes to technical support teams.
• Collaborate with ME, manufacturing, QMM and other functions to standardise processes via PFMEA and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of hands‑on experience with SMT module processes.
• Proven ability to solve complex line‑quality problems.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Experience presenting technical data and charts.
