Senior Test Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Test Engineer at Bosch, you will lead the maintenance planning and troubleshooting of new equipment and test stations, ensuring high reliability and continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate maintenance plans for new equipment based on inputs from station owners and suppliers.
• Perform troubleshooting using guides and root‑cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Liaise with station owners and suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Train, coach, and develop technicians in troubleshooting and sustaining test stations.
• Manage manufacturing documentation related to maintenance and ensure timely uploads.
• Optimize equipment reliability and design.
• Execute activities to meet department KPIs and drive realistic continuous‑improvement goals.
• Evaluate Test Technicians’ performance against departmental and individual targets.
• Summarize breakdown reports, provide feedback to line support for MTTR and MTBF improvement.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics.
• 3–5 years of experience in final‑assembly maintenance, or up to 2 years for recent graduates (internship acceptable).
• Strong knowledge of electronics testing and measurement techniques.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to work independently with guidance.

Required skills

• Use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
• Understanding of test methodologies and problem‑solving concepts (RCCA).
• Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics and electrical drawings.
