Senior Sourcing Manager – APAC

About the role

Global Diagnostics Procurement (DOP) at Roche is looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to lead its APAC sourcing operations. You will lead end-to-end sourcing projects, mentor a growing team of Sourcing Managers and advise executive leadership. The role reports to the Sourcing Lead APAC and sits within the Procurement Center of Excellence, working with Category and Delivery stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive performance and savings metrics such as PPV savings, preferred supplier share and shorter cycle times, while tracking stakeholder satisfaction
• Run global sourcing activities, standard processes (RfIs, RfQs, RfPs) and NPI benchmarking with Category and NPI managers
• Set up and review high-complexity contracts (e.g. MSAs) and manage their lifecycle repository and renewals
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to simplify workflows, analyse site user requirements and ensure compliance with global policies
• Work with Accounts Payable to clear supplier-related bottlenecks and champion supply base CSR initiatives (diversity, sustainability, ethics)
• Resolve high-stakes conflicts over project priorities or supplier selection and give monthly/quarterly updates to the CoE leadership

Required profile

• University degree (Business or Life Sciences preferred); MBA or equivalent and certifications such as CIPS or ISM are desirable
• 5-7+ years of experience in sourcing and end-to-end contract management, with a track record of procurement projects such as cost reduction and value improvement
• Deep knowledge of EMS and e-components, Plastics & Packaging and Biologicals & Chemicals
• Advanced knowledge of AI applications and digital transformation (Digital 2.0 / Industry 4.0)
• Business-level English; Chinese and German are a strong asset
