Senior Software Development Engineer (Staff Level)

About the role

Join Bosch Cross‑Domain Computing Solutions in Penang as a Senior Software Development Engineer. You will work on cutting‑edge automotive platforms, including V2X connectivity, infotainment, and cockpit solutions, contributing to the digital transformation of vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams on software design and architecture.
• Gather and analyse customer, internal, and vehicle interface requirements.
• Develop embedded software using C/C++ and ensure compliance with Bosch’s engineering processes.
• Perform requirement, design, and code reviews, as well as unit testing and software releases.
• Create test specifications, execute test plans, and troubleshoot failures.
• Produce technical documentation, design analyses, and support manufacturing troubleshooting.
• Provide post‑production support for released software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development and hands‑on debugging on target hardware.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficient in C and C++ programming.
• Embedded Linux development, including cross‑compiling, Yocto/Debian build systems, and Linux file systems.
• Experience with GDB, Bash scripting, and Linux driver porting.
• Knowledge of kernel device trees and OS toolchains.
• Familiarity with object‑oriented programming concepts.
