Senior PCB Development Engineer – Automotive Electronics

About the role

Join Bosch Cross‑Domain Computing Solutions in Penang as a Senior PCB Development Engineer. You will work on high‑complexity printed circuit board designs that enable next‑generation automotive connectivity, infotainment and cockpit solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate mechanical and electronic specifications into detailed PCB layouts for designs with up to 1,500 components.
• Conduct feasibility studies covering packaging, manufacturability and system performance.
• Perform component placement and routing of high‑speed analog and digital circuits.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve packaging, manufacturing or electrical issues.
• Create and maintain component libraries, footprints and Gerber files for fabrication.
• Maintain the ECAD environment and ensure it is up‑to‑date.
• Drive continuous improvement activities and participate in technical forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in PCB layout projects.
• Hands‑on expertise with CAD/EDA tools such as Zuken and Cadence.
• Strong knowledge of PCB design rules, high‑speed circuitry and best engineering practices.
• Familiarity with product engineering processes (FMEA, DFMA, QFD, Change Management, 8D, BES‑PE).
• Ability to produce clear technical reports and documentation.
