Senior Packaging Design Officer

About the role

As a Senior Packaging Design Officer at Bosch Group, you will lead the development and optimisation of packaging solutions for both raw materials and finished goods. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure packaging meets Bosch standards, supports production flow, and enhances sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to design packaging that meets new material and product requirements.
• Work with departments to review and propose physical material flow within the plant.
• Ensure supplier packaging complies with Bosch specifications.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Purchasing, including packaging drawings and testing (drop, transport).
• Coordinate with plant packaging experts, warehouse, procurement, and project teams to align concepts and outsource materials.
• Verify and approve packaging samples for new products or raw materials.
• Assist logistics teams in defining standard pack quantities based on line rates.
• Maintain packaging BOM and drawings in SAP, perform UAT, troubleshoot issues, and train users.
• Participate in Bosch Production System improvement projects.
• Support ad‑hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in packaging design or engineering.
• Strong communication, presentation, and independent work skills.
• Leadership, decision‑making, and ability to influence others.
• Results‑oriented mindset with continuous improvement focus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in NX and SolidWorks for CAD drawing.
• Basic knowledge of SAP (packaging BOM management).
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power BI (advantage).
