Senior Manager - Methodology

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Assurance Methodology team in Kuala Lumpur. You will play a pivotal role in driving audit quality across engagements by delivering hot and cold reviews, developing guidance, and supporting the implementation of PwC Audit tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hot and cold reviews of audit and assurance engagements and conduct training sessions.
• Coach engagement teams, providing guidance to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
• Streamline audit methodologies, integrating tools and technology to improve efficiency.
• Address methodology‑related inquiries and support the PwC audit application.
• Prepare internal communication materials for practice dissemination and training.
• Collaborate with practice representatives to meet industry‑specific methodology needs.
• Work with other Assurance enablers on cross‑functional projects.
• Support the Methodology leader in driving global initiatives at the local level.
• Create and review training content on emerging auditing standards.
• Assist engagement teams during inspection and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in the Assurance practice.
• Degree in any discipline and a professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA‑CAANZ, CPA Australia).
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards.
• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
• Technology‑savvy with a proven high‑performance track record.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
