Senior FP&A Analyst

About the role

Wilhelmsen Ship Management is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its global FP&A team in Kuala Lumpur. You will play a key part in shaping financial strategy, driving budgeting cycles, and delivering insights that support the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial targets.
• Drive rolling forecasts covering revenue, vessel growth, personnel costs, operating expenses, and profitability.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Perform variance analysis, identify performance trends, and recommend actions to improve profitability.
• Support FP&A transformation by implementing and enhancing budgeting and forecasting tools.
• Participate in system implementation activities, including requirement gathering, testing, and user adoption.
• Ensure compliance with budgeting guidelines, financial policies, and reporting standards.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a maritime or large‑scale operational environment.
• Proven ability to lead budgeting and forecasting processes and to work cross‑functionally with business controllers.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and improve forecasting methodologies.
