Senior Finance Data Analyst

About the role

Wilhelmsen Ship Management is seeking a Senior Finance Data Analyst to join its global finance team in Kuala Lumpur. You will work on end‑to‑end analytics, turning complex financial data into actionable insights that support both local and worldwide operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and continuously improve dashboards, reports and analytical solutions.
• Establish reporting standards, KPI definitions and data‑visualisation best practices.
• Review and quality‑assure analytical deliverables produced by the team.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate objectives into analytical requirements and solution designs.
• Maintain a holistic view of data flow from source systems (including SAP) through integration, modelling and reporting layers.
• Trace and troubleshoot data issues across the analytics value chain.
• Collaborate with data‑engineering and platform teams to ensure robust data foundations.
• Promote consistent data definitions, business rules and KPI calculations.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level analysts and share best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance analytics and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement and business‑analysis capabilities.
• Ability to oversee the full analytics lifecycle and ensure data quality.
• Experience guiding and developing analytical talent.
