Senior Executive - Reconciliations

About the role

Deriv processes payments through 53+ payment service providers (PSPs) across fiat and crypto, and reconciles deposits, withdrawals, fees, reserves and settlements across the PSP, the back office and the ERP. This is a daily-reconciliation role, not month-end only, with discrepancies investigated and resolved within hours. It sits alongside an AI reconciliation platform that is already in production.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily reconciliations across 53+ PSPs (deposits, withdrawals, fees, reserves, settlements, opening and closing balances)
• Investigate discrepancies, classify them and resolve them with PSPs, engineering or the back office
• Maintain the three-way match between PSP data, back office records and the ERP
• Run daily quality checks on browser-automation and API-based PSP data feeds, and handle manual uploads when automation breaks
• Own working knowledge of each PSP's quirks, such as currency reporting and label swaps
• Run UAT on the AI reconciliation platform, raise and prioritise bugs, and help shape its naming conventions and exception handling
• Support month-end PSP balance reconciliation, document unresolved exceptions and support revenue, settlements and crypto accounting reconciliations
• Maintain process documentation and onboard the team on new PSPs

Required profile

• 3+ years in reconciliations, accounts operations or finance operations
• Experience reconciling real third-party data at meaningful volume
• Payments, fintech or trading platform experience is a plus
• Direct communication style, comfortable raising issues clearly and using AI tools to improve your work

Required skills

• SQL or BigQuery to investigate discrepancies
• Excel and Google Sheets
• Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals (debits, credits, accruals, FX)
• Working knowledge of payment processing terms (authorisation, capture, settlement, chargebacks, fees, reserves)
• Basic understanding of crypto and on-chain verification
