Senior Executive – Import & Export Operations (Malaysia)

About the role

The Senior Executive will own and drive end‑to‑end import and export operations for BASF in Malaysia. Acting as the central control tower, you will coordinate shipment flows across 4PL, 3PL and internal teams, ensuring seamless execution and risk‑free delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for the execution and coordination of all import and export shipments in Malaysia.
• Manage the operational vendor landscape (4PL/3PL), enforcing SOPs, service level agreements and KPI performance.
• Monitor shipment status proactively, identify risks or bottlenecks and intervene early to maintain uninterrupted flow.
• Lead governance, escalation and continuous improvement initiatives with logistics service providers.
• Own KPI monitoring, validate data integrity and produce regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import/export logistics or supply‑chain operations, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor governance capabilities.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate and mitigate operational risks.
• Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvement and enforce strict operational discipline.
