Senior Executive – Freight Cost Management (Mandarin Speaker)

About the role

The Senior Executive will support Accounts Payable services for BASF companies across Asia Pacific, ensuring compliance with BASF policies, financial reporting standards, and local regulations. The role requires Mandarin language skills and strong coordination with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for the AP team, providing expert knowledge, training, and backup support for the manager.
• Monitor and ensure timely execution of payment transactions according to the AP Service Level Agreement.
• Oversee high‑value invoice processing, manual and project‑related payments, and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement, invoicing, HR, and finance partners to resolve payment issues.
• Generate monthly AP aging reports, perform VAT verification, and conduct GRIR clearing.
• Support audit activities, risk monitoring, and month‑end post‑mortem meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• More than 5 years of finance/accounting experience, including 1‑2 years of supervisory responsibility.
• Basic knowledge of Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and accounting functions.

Required skills

• Accounts Payable processes and compliance.
• Financial Reporting Compliance (FRC) knowledge.
• VAT management and reconciliation.
