Senior Associate – Transaction Services

About the role

PwC’s Transaction Services team is seeking a Senior Associate to support clients on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. You will work on financial due diligence, deal structuring and advisory engagements for corporate and private‑equity clients across Malaysia and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial due diligence, vendor assistance, negotiation support and deal structuring for M&A transactions.
• Develop a rapid understanding of target businesses, their drivers and strategic context.
• Analyse information memoranda, business plans and publicly available data on targets.
• Review historical trading results, cash‑flow statements and balance sheets.
• Assess projections, underlying assumptions and working‑capital requirements, including financing limits and covenants.
• Identify potential synergies and report key risks or price‑affecting considerations.
• Examine sale‑and‑purchase agreements and align findings with due‑diligence outcomes.
• Evaluate financial structures and related credit agreements.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in financial due diligence or external audit.
• University degree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA‑CAANZ, CPA Australia).
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of key business drivers.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
