Senior Accounting Associate – Inventory Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate I in Accounting & Reporting to manage inventory accounting for its commercial entity. You will ensure accurate financial records, support month‑end close, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post inventory provision and adjustment journals within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with the International Center of Excellence on inventory provision calculations.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze P&L and balance‑sheet movements for inventory accounts and provide explanations.
• Support internal and external audits, including audit schedules and query responses.
• Identify and drive process improvements, standardization, and automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.
• 2–5 years of RTR experience in a shared services or multinational environment, supporting inventory management.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, internal controls and audit requirements.

Required skills

• SAP closing and reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
