QA Technician

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technician will support Bosch’s manufacturing operations in Bayan Lepas by performing precise measurements on initial samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with inspection plans. This role is critical for delivering high‑quality automotive and consumer‑goods components.

Key responsibilities

• Measure initial samples and generate detailed measurement reports within agreed timelines.
• Label, store, and update the database for all incoming samples.
• Provide measurement support, analysis and prepare documentation for internal and supplier use.
• Collaborate with suppliers to align measurement methods when required.
• Execute incoming inspections according to established inspection plans.
• Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment used for testing and measurement.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies for test equipment.
• Escalate any non‑conformities to senior staff and seek guidance.
• Maintain a clean, organized 7S workplace and laboratory environment.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and inspection/test plans.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and propose alternative solutions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Vision Systems.
• Experience using hardness, roughness, roundness, and tensile strength testers.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, profile projectors and multimeters.
• Knowledge of metrology principles and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
