Project Engineer – Architecture (Data Centre)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Architecture) to support a large‑scale mission‑critical data centre project in Malaysia. The role involves monitoring construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and supporting quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of architectural and building works.
• Review materials, workmanship, and installation quality.
• Identify and report non‑conformance issues and monitor corrective actions.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and progress reports.
• Support quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building, Construction, or related field.
• Registration with LAM or relevant professional body is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of construction project experience.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, local regulations, and site inspection practices.
• Experience in data centre, industrial, commercial, or large‑scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
