Product & Test Technician

About the role

The Product & Test Technician will support the set‑up, release and maintenance of tester systems used for final testing of semiconductor components at Bosch's new PgP5 plant in Penang. The role focuses on minimizing tester downtime, analysing test data and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, release, maintain and troubleshoot tester hardware and software.
• Act as the first point of contact for tester‑related hardware issues on the production line.
• Perform MSA operations, generate reports and ensure timely tester releases.
• Support product engineers with data analysis, evaluation and lot release activities.
• Lead continuous improvement projects related to tester performance.
• Handle blocked parts, store them safely and release them back to production when cleared.
• Conduct failure analysis according to OCAP guidelines and supervisor direction.
• Troubleshoot PCB‑level problems using oscilloscopes and soldering techniques.
• Execute DOE runs and verify test programs as required.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong teamwork attitude and ability to maintain a healthy working environment.
• Good communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BPS tools and Poka‑Yoke concepts.
• MSA (Measurement System Analysis) operation.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) execution.
• Test program verification.
• PCB‑level troubleshooting, including use of oscilloscopes and soldering.
