Process Engineer / Senior Process Engineer

About the role

SilTerra is seeking a Process Engineer (or Senior Process Engineer) to develop and sustain CMP processes within its semiconductor fab. The role involves applying Design of Experiments, managing advanced metrology tools, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve yield and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new CMP processes using Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Sustain production in the CMP area and evaluate new process consumables.
• Maintain detailed research logs and notebooks for CMP activities.
• Perform Gauge R&R studies on advanced metrology tools.
• Work with equipment and consumables vendors to resolve process issues quickly.
• Present timely CMP production metrics reports with corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain Process & Operations Specifications.
• Start up new equipment processes, including characterization and development.
• Supervise subordinates and coordinate departmental resources.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams to solve process issues and reduce cycle time.
• Establish equipment acceptance procedures and improvement methodologies.
• Ensure robustness of CMP processes with SPC control.
• Develop training and certification programs for module and manufacturing personnel.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field.
• Experience with IC fab processes; CMP experience is highly desirable.
• Hands‑on technical project management experience.
• Experience operating IC‑related metrology tools and PC computer literacy.
• Familiarity with IC industry practices and methodologies.
• Experience as a Process Engineer in high‑volume manufacturing is a plus.
