Process and Equipment Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Process and Equipment Engineer to join its newest semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing equipment used in the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of machines according to the maintenance plan.
• Analyse downtime causes and carry out mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs.
• Localise and repair failures on measurement boards and PCBs.
• Align equipment mechanically and electrically to supplier specifications.
• Adapt and extend circuit diagrams based on engineering specifications.
• Act as the first point of contact for equipment suppliers, monitoring due dates and technical discussions.
• Develop and implement measures to reduce failures, improve quality, increase output and lower costs.
• Maintain and commission carriers, ensuring alignment with lead‑plant engineering.
• Lead 8D problem‑solving activities and manage lot disposals.
• Instruct operators, support FMEA and control plan creation, and ensure spare‑parts availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, calibration and failure analysis.
