Process and Equipment Engineer – Automotive IC Testing

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor test site (PgP5) in Batu Kawan, Penang. The Process and Equipment Engineer will support the final testing of automotive integrated circuits, ensuring the reliability and performance of test equipment and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with and maintain all tester systems and test programs, including Advantest V93K or similar equipment.
• Perform pre‑acceptance, setup, fine‑tuning, sustaining and maintenance of machines according to specifications.
• Execute scheduled maintenance and calibration activities.
• Analyse equipment downtime, diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults, and carry out repairs.
• Release tester equipment in compliance with engineering specifications.
• Localise and repair failures on measurement boards, PCBs and circuit diagrams.
• Align equipment mechanically and electrically per supplier specifications.
• Act as the primary contact for equipment suppliers, monitor due dates and lead technical discussions.
• Develop and implement measures to reduce failures and improve quality.

Required profile

• Technical background in electronics or semiconductor testing.
• Experience with semiconductor test equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ability to work autonomously and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams.
