Pre‑School Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Pre‑School Teaching Assistant to join Asia Pacific Schools, an International Schools Partnership campus in Klang Valley, Malaysia, starting April 2026. The role supports Amazing Learning by delivering high‑quality teaching and creating effective resources for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Work with small groups of children under teacher supervision, providing feedback on progress and attending to personal needs such as pastoral care, health, hygiene and minor first aid.
• Assist the teacher with classroom preparation, display work, clerical and administrative tasks, and maintain student records.
• Support curriculum delivery by preparing and maintaining equipment, using ICT tools, and helping students develop independence with technology.
• Help manage student behaviour, report concerns, and communicate regularly with parents or carers.
• Participate in safeguarding, health and safety procedures, and supervise indoor and outdoor activities.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or Basic Childcare Course – KAAK).
• Preferably 1 year of preschool teaching experience; fresh graduates with passion are also encouraged.
• Ability to teach in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Patient, supportive, friendly and loving attitude toward children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
