Payroll, Time & Benefits Subject Matter Expert

About the role

The Pay Time Benefits (PTB) team supports payroll, time and benefits processes and gives customer service and advisory support to managers, employees, People & Culture and business partners on global P&C systems and processes. As a Pay Time Benefits Subject Matter Expert, you coordinate complex P&C requests and act as the internal and external escalation point for PTB specialists, while building knowledge, delivering training and keeping data and documentation accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, reliable service, meet KPIs and SLAs, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Handle inquiries, request management and troubleshooting, and act as Tier 2 escalation point for complex issues
• Maintain system data and support payroll, time and benefits processes
• Train stakeholders on processes and systems, identify training needs and run new hire orientation
• Keep process documentation, SWIs and local SOPs up to date
• Take part in continuous improvement, system testing and HR support solution projects
• Collaborate with colleagues across regions and functions, including global PTB chapters

Required profile

• 5+ years of related experience as a Pay Time Benefits Subject Matter Expert in an HR shared services environment
• Deep knowledge of payroll, time and benefits, especially tax and social insurance
• University degree, HR preferred
• Fluent English; other languages required depending on region

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of business solutions such as Workday or SAP and their processes
• End-to-end HR pay, time and benefits processes
• Experience with standard IT applications, preferably Google suite
• Understanding of shared service center processes and complex HR data structures
