Module Engineer – Manufacturing & Process

About the role

As a Module Engineer at Bosch, you will drive the planning and execution of assembly processes to ensure manufacturing efficiency and product quality. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to define equipment specifications, release manufacturing cells, and continuously improve process performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan assembly process flows with a focus on efficiency and cost.
• Define equipment specifications aligned with product requirements and release manufacturing cells on schedule and budget.
• Participate in all project stages to evaluate equipment and process performance, producing technical and performance reports.
• Create and maintain process specifications, maintenance strategies, and other documentation needed for line release.
• Apply problem‑solving methodologies to assembly processes and equipment, develop troubleshooting guides, and train technicians.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (CIP) targeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for technical flaws.
• Study and enhance technical capacity of assembly processes to meet customer demand.
• Drive higher OEE, FPY, MTTR, and MTBF metrics.
• Promote teamwork within the Value Stream Organization to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or process engineering (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Basic knowledge of assembly processes, process planning, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Understanding of quality tools and problem‑solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, cross‑functional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Self‑motivated, quality‑focused, result‑oriented and eager to learn.
