Module Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Module Engineer to support the planning, setup and optimisation of assembly processes for electronic modules at its Bayan Lepas facility. The role focuses on improving manufacturing efficiency, ensuring equipment meets product specifications and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan assembly process flows with a focus on manufacturing efficiency.
• Define equipment specifications, set up and release manufacturing cells on schedule and within budget.
• Participate in project stages to evaluate equipment and process performance and produce technical reports.
• Create and maintain process specifications, maintenance strategies and other documentation required for line release.
• Apply problem‑solving methodologies, develop troubleshooting guides and train technicians alongside senior engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement programmes (Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyse and improve technical capacity to meet customer demand, aiming for higher OEE, FPY, MTTR and MTBF.
• Promote teamwork within the Value Stream Organization and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English and Malay.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, cross‑functional environment.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SMT, Selective Soldering, AOI and Box‑Build Assembly processes.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans and problem‑solving methodologies.
