Major Project Technician

About the role

KONE Malaysia is expanding and seeks a Major Project Technician to join its Service Maintenance team in Petaling Jaya. You will work with a small group of Field Service Specialists handling fault calls, escalator/elevator repairs, and routine maintenance runs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time back‑reporting of work performed and ensure accurate customer notifications.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Perform on‑call support, standby availability, and overtime as required.
• Handle networking tasks and use KONE’s mobile application for service documentation.
• Manage daily workload independently and uphold safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience in the elevator/escalator industry is an advantage; fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Good customer relationship skills, energetic, team player, and able to follow instructions.
• Willingness to travel, own transport, and a valid motorbike licence.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and use digital tools on a mobile device.
