Machine Learning Lead (Data & AI Middleware)

About the role

K3 Advisory Group is building an AI Intelligence Layer that sits beneath its Salesforce ecosystem, turning company and deal data into actionable signals. As the Machine Learning Lead you will own the end‑to‑end build, governance and middleware that powers this layer, ensuring models are accurate, explainable and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Own and extend the identity, firmographic and financial layers of the ICP Profile Schema using Companies House API data.
• Build, validate and maintain supervised classifiers and regression models such as succession risk, distress indicator, exit‑readiness, win‑probability and deal‑value estimation.
• Manage model recalibration on a scheduled cadence, documenting accuracy and precision thresholds before commercial use.
• Own the middleware connecting the ICP Profile Schema to Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, ensuring every model output includes confidence scores and reason codes.
• Act as the named model owner across the Group’s three‑tier AI/model governance framework, handling validation, change control and explainability.
• Take all middleware and model changes through the Architecture Board gate and report status in the Group’s technology governance pack.

Required profile

• Proven delivery of supervised ML models (logistic regression, gradient boosting) and deterministic rules engines in production.
• Experience building explainable model outputs with reason codes and confidence scoring for regulated environments.
• Comfortable owning a named model‑risk position and defending model accuracy to governance committees.
