Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1.1) – Miri Station

About the role

The Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1.1) will ensure the airworthiness, safety and technical reliability of aircraft operating at Station Miri. You will perform, supervise and certify maintenance activities in line with Part 145 regulations and company procedures, supporting daily flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Certify all maintenance work and issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) in compliance with Part 145 and CAAM regulations.
• Lead line‑maintenance activities to minimise Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and maintain on‑time dispatch.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled tasks, defect rectifications, troubleshooting and inspections safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with MOC, Logistics, Flight Operations and other stakeholders for technical issue resolution and resource planning.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching and supervision to maintenance technicians.
• Ensure availability of tooling, ground support equipment, technical publications and facilities.

Required profile

• Holder of a CAAM B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Minimum 2 years of certifying experience.
• Preferably type‑rated on ATR‑72 or Viking DHC‑6.
• Strong safety and compliance orientation.
• Ability to make timely technical decisions under operational pressure.
