Lean Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang, and is looking for a Lean Engineer to drive the Bosch Production System (BPS) within the Value Stream area. You will support the plant’s vision and mission by ensuring smooth BPS activities, improving line productivity, and enhancing machine utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and implement BPS activities aligned with the plant’s roadmap.
• Design and optimise production line layouts according to the PGL concept.
• Apply BPS/Lean guidelines for production and output determination.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving together with production teams.
• Lead technical, organisational and changeover improvements, including improvement plans.
• Support Value Stream Planning workshops and BPS maturity assessments.
• Calculate and maintain BP‑Routing (VT/teb) based on cycle‑time improvements and define potential savings.
• Maintain productive routing in the CAPP system for PgP5.

Required profile

• Experience in implementing Lean or BPS concepts in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform root‑cause analysis.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production and engineering teams.
• Ability to manage multiple improvement projects and follow systematic approaches.
