Lead/Senior Enterprise Operations Engineer – Tier 1 Global Network Support

About the role

Mastercard’s Network Operations Center (NOC) ensures the stable operation of its global payment network. As a Lead/Senior Enterprise Operations Engineer you will monitor, troubleshoot and optimise Tier 1 network services, working in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Eyes‑on‑glass monitoring of network performance and system alerts.
• Lead incident response teams to resolve outages, investigate root causes and implement preventive solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues, replicating problems in a lab environment.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including hardware and software updates.
• Analyse performance metrics and drive optimisation initiatives.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, incidents and performance reports.
• Coordinate with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure integrated network operations.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Several years of experience in network operations, preferably in a large‑scale, mission‑critical environment.
• Proven ability to lead incident response and manage shift‑based work schedules.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
