Junior Backup & Restore Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Backup & Restore Administrator to join Commerzbank AG’s IT operations team in Petaling Jaya. You will support data protection activities, ensuring that backup and restore processes run smoothly and meet service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, manage and troubleshoot backup jobs using Rubrik and Versity/ScoutAM solutions.
• Perform restore operations and validate data integrity for critical systems.
• Maintain documentation of backup policies, schedules, and recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve backup strategies and automate routine tasks.
• Provide timely support to end‑users and internal teams regarding backup‑related incidents.

Required profile

• Approximately 1 year of professional experience in IT operations.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive attitude toward problem solving.

Required skills

• Rubrik backup platform.
• Versity or ScoutAM backup solutions.
