Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant

The Junior AR Accountant is responsible for processing several Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions such as customer invoices, posting bank transactions, downloading bank statements, account reconciliation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
• Generate and send out invoices and account statements.
• Process bank statements and match payments against open items.
• Reconcile AR accounts and clarify discrepancies.
• Ensure customer statement reconciliation is completed for all customers.
• Work closely with internal departments to resolve issues.
• Maintain excellent customer and supplier relationships through effective communication.
• Maintain current process documentation and lead system and process improvements.
• Support external and internal audits.
• Perform MEC and YEC activities and other ad‑hoc AR duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 1‑2 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Receivable environment or SSC/BPO is advantageous.
• Computer literacy – Excel, Word and large enterprise systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
• Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken & written); additional language skills are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
• Positive, customer‑centric attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Experience in migration processes or system implementation preferred.
• Proven ability to learn new software/accounting systems quickly.
