IT Coordinator – Asia Pacific

About the role

Wilhelmsen is seeking an IT Coordinator to provide remote technical support across its Asia Pacific locations. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will work within the Global Business Services team, ensuring smooth operation of applications, networks, and servers while upholding IT governance and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver local support for applications, network and server management, order fulfilment, IT governance, and security.
• Assist the 1st Line support team, identify recurring issues, propose automation, and report to the IT Manager.
• Resolve and follow‑up incidents escalated to 2nd and 3rd line support.
• Order and secure facilities, equipment, and supplies needed for service delivery.
• Coordinate with local vendors, manage renewal cycles, and liaise with stakeholders.
• Log all incidents and requests in the global helpdesk system and adhere to SLA guidelines.
• Identify training needs, arrange courses, and collaborate with technical teams.
• Monitor user satisfaction, suggest improvements, and advise on IT investment budgeting.
• Produce accurate reports and act in line with corporate governance policies.

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• University‑level degree in IT, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience; alternatively strong customer support background with IT exposure.
• Independent, driven, dependable, result‑oriented, and service‑minded.
