Invoice to Cash Analyst (Mandarin Speaker)

About the role

BASF is hiring an Invoice to Cash (ITC) Analyst in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who speaks Mandarin. The role manages the operational processing of ITC services in line with BASF requirements, Financial Reporting Compliance (FRC) and local statutory regulations, and drives continuous improvement, digitalisation and harmonisation across the Asia Pacific region. The position is listed under Finance, Controlling & Audit and is offered on a 1-year leasing contract.

Key responsibilities

• Process ITC workflows, including Accounts Receivable, Collections and Treasury Back Office activities
• Manage unallocated receipts, overdue accounts and post-dunning activities, proposing corrective actions
• Carry out month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate account closure
• Ensure queries are answered within agreed timelines
• Support internal, regional and global process implementation and transition projects, such as User Acceptance Testing
• Take part in compliance audits and respond to audit queries, and keep work documentation and processes up to date with BASF policies and local legal and statutory requirements
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, prepare training materials and deliver end-user training, and support new and existing team members through knowledge transfer
• Support the Business Continuity Plan through resource planning, backup and communication

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration, and/or Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant or equivalent
• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Diploma holder with at least 1-2 years of experience in related fields
